Do I Need a Visa for Dubai?

Visitors to the UAE are generally required to have a visa, except for residents of the following countries who are granted a visa on arrival:

  • GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) Countries
  • Western Europe, North America, Far East, and Australasia: Depending on your country of origin, please check the visa regulations on the official website of the General Directorate of Residency & Foreigner Affairs.

Getting a Visa for Dubai

If a visa is required, we encourage you to apply before your arrival in the UAE. In case you have any visa-related queries upon arrival, you can visit the General Directorate of Residency & Foreigner Affairs visa office located in Terminal 3 arrivals near Entrance 1. The office operates 24/7.

Visa Duration

Typically, a short-term tourist visa allows a stay of 30 days from the date of entry into the UAE, while a long-term visa grants a 90-day stay.
